I’m Mojtaba Ale, though many students and families know me as Caspian. I hold a PhD in civil engineering and work professionally as a transportation engineer, but teaching has been part of my life since 2010.

Over the years, I have taught and tutored students from elementary school through college in mathematics, statistics, physics, and engineering subjects. During my PhD studies, I also served as a university lecturer and lab instructor in Mechanics of Materials.

I build my approach around strong fundamentals. I want students to understand why something works, not simply memorize enough steps to get through the next assignment. I adjust sessions to the student’s level and pace, with an emphasis on clear explanations, critical thinking, and gradually becoming a more independent problem solver.

Early sessions help identify gaps and establish the right pace and focus. I then adjust the tutoring around the student’s needs and progress.

My primary focus is middle and high school math, but I also work with K–12 and college-level students in mathematics, statistics, and physics. I plan to add differential equations for college-level students soon.
This includes foundational courses through advanced coursework such as Algebra I & II, Geometry, Precalculus, Calculus, AP-level courses, introductory Physics, introductory college Statistics, and calculus-based Physics. If you are unsure whether a course is a good fit, I am happy to review the syllabus and discuss alignment before beginning.

Yes. I provide SAT and ACT math test preparation focused on improving problem-solving efficiency and developing test-taking strategies. Preparation can be structured around a student’s upcoming test date, current score, and specific areas of weakness.

Sessions are available both online and in person. I conduct online sessions in a structured, interactive format using shared digital workspaces that allow real-time problem solving and annotation. We can meet in-person at a student’s home or at a mutually agreed upon public location such as a library, coffee shop, etc. I can adjust the format based on student preference, scheduling needs, and learning style.

In-person sessions are available within approximately a 7-mile radius of the Milton downtown area in Georgia. Travel within this range may include an additional fee depending on distance and scheduling logistics. Specific arrangements can be discussed during the initial consultation to ensure clarity and convenience for both parties.

Standard sessions are 60 minutes. I can arrange longer sessions of 75–90 minutes for students preparing for major exams or needing extended problem-solving time. Session length can also be adjusted based on attention span, course demands, and academic goals.

Most students benefit from meeting once per week for consistent reinforcement. Students facing significant foundational gaps or preparing for upcoming exams may meet twice per week for a defined period. We discuss frequency during the initial consultation and adjusted as progress is made.

Yes. Support includes preparation for classroom exams, midterms, finals, AP exams, SAT/ACT math sections, and college-level assessments. Preparation focuses on strengthening underlying concepts, identifying recurring weaknesses, practicing structured problem-solving strategies, and improving exam pacing.

I evaluate progress through ongoing observation of problem-solving independence, conceptual understanding, error patterns, and performance on coursework and assessments. I conduct informal check-ins regularly, and use structured review sessions to measure mastery of previously challenging material. When appropriate, I share feedback with parents to ensure transparency and alignment on academic goals.

We schedule sessions in advance and reserve the time specifically for each student. I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations may be subject to a session fee except in cases of illness or emergency. I mainly use email or text for scheduling matters, and encourage timely updates to ensure consistency and respect for both the student’s progress and the reserved time.
